How He Wore It: Holiday Hov
Meet Larry. Or as I call him, Larry Hova.
I somehow talked him into shooting a spread on personal style with me, and in the mix slipped in the Woolen Holiday tie from the Co-Op.
I dig how he not only does pattern on pattern, but texture on texture.
And then even more texture with corduroy pants (!!!!)

How He Wore It: Gen of Bucketfeet
I met Gen at Daley Plaza this summer when we were both sweating out the hottest days of the summer outside in the name of indie label brands. It turns out, we had a lot to talk about.

How He Wore It: Making Heat Waves
A handful of weeks back, Cameron Forbes joined us to shoot two How He Wore It spreads. Word on the street is sometimes I subject people to wearing ridiculous things like leather jackets in the summer heat. Survey says: it's true.

How (S)he Wore It: Defining Tabitha
A little over 6 months ago, I met Tabitha at a meet-up for the lady style blogger variety at a cute little nail salon here in Chicago. It was a fantastic mix of fashion and geekery; these women understood me. Ever since, we've stayed in contact with our mutual love for technology, menswear, and the windiest city that we call home.

How He Wore It: Kenji of the Passport Project
Meet Kenji: the mind behind Passport Project, a lifestyle not-for-profit that aims to build "'The Coalition”, a network of Millennial global travelers and citizens across various industries and “Passport Life Grants”, a fund that helps young non-passport owners in subsidizing passport application fees and facilitating travel abroad experiences." If you've ever seen #PassportLife on twitter, this is the guy behind it. With the help of a collection of pretty heavy hitting media and lifestyle types, there are big things on the horizon for the project.

How He Wore It: Cameron Forbes
You've met Cameron Forbes here on the blog before.
He's one of the most intensely talented songwriter/artists I've come to know, and is one of those forces that is quietly but quickly making waves when it comes to his craft. We made a pact about 5 years ago late night on a Brooklyn-bound F train to chase the dream with full force one day. It's that day every day, and it has been for some time now.

How He Wore It: Oceanside Alex
I have this theory that if you're born and bred in California, you never leave. And if you do, it's for college, then you just go back. Because it's California.
I just can't hate it.

How He Wore It: Zach of ImFlashy (Giveaway!)
Men in suits, on bikes, in the city. I'm sold.
You may have seen some of his lens and pixel work around the interwebs, covering his interviews with countless rising stars in music and lifestyle brands. But I'd bet you've seen Zach Walker of ImFlashy like this.

Spring Editorial: Fresher Than Chris
True story: I met Chris of Fresher than Chris after following his work from afar for quite a while. We met up in New York after some prep work, and that same day, he acted as creative director of one of The Co-Op's shoots. Total class act.
Following up with a clear and spot on point of view in menswear, Chris released his spring style editorial. Contemporary, urban, sleek, and fresh for the looming warm weather that is right around the corner.

Welcoming Fuller Home
![]() |
| all images courtesy of the talented Donna of The Donedo |
A while back, I introduced on the blog the Fuller Scarf in Navy, which a handful of you really took a liking to. So much so, that it became the starting point for the Alex Grant for The Style Cooperative bow ties.
This button down scarf in Chocolate has been quietly available in Japan for a little while now, complete with coin buttons. I'm glad to share with you all that it is now available here for the rest of the world.
I like to use it as a layering piece for the in between type months when winter is finally beginning to melt away.

Alex Grant for The Style Cooperative: The Look Book
The self-proclaimed prepster and New England sailor helped design two ties that are inspired by just that; nautical stripes and all in Navy and Chocolate. Both will be available in early March. Until then, more images from the look book after the jump.

Sir & Madame Spring Lookbook
Let's pause momentarily for some of my editorial:
-The riding theme is so inspired, particularly the contrast color riding pants.
-That weekender bag is awesome, I hope you guys don't just look over it where it's featured.
-I'm so glad Chicago has something like this to call its own
-A BOW TIE FROM THE STYLE COOPERATIVE IS STYLED ON A WOMAN, so I'm doing a little happy dance at my desk as I write this
Take a look at the whole book, lust over everything, and click your way over to the Sir & Madame shop. It'll be good for your health and happiness. Trust me, I'm a doctor.

A Transitional Time
Hey dudes. Things are really picking up here over at The Co-Op. We're updating all things digital for your lovely consumption and building some beautiful new goods. Just can't wait to share!
This is the first photo set we've done since I did you-know-what, so I hope you all likey.
The look I've got going on today is actually one that I styled for my evening at the opening show for Chicago's Fashion Focus (sans 14" bow attached to my head). The look was pretty popular, and landed me as the feature image in Ebony Magazine's Style section and pictured on NBC Chicago. Whoa boy!
I'm wearing my current absolute favorite piece from The Co-Op. It's a winterized Wyly top in white jacquard. The material is ultra heavy and gives structure to an otherwise flowing top.
And the texture is out of control amazing. Not just because I picked it out either... it really is fantastically soft and roomie.
Oh, and of course there's the back buttons. This time around, it's paired with gold dome buttons. Luxe, yes? And somehow perfect to dress up with a suiting skirt, or down with a pair of boyfriend jeans and booties.
And the line it creates with the body with a fitted bottom... it really has me hooked as my fall/winter go-to.
