How He Wore It: Holiday Hov

Meet Larry. Or as I call him, Larry Hova.

I somehow talked him into shooting a spread on personal style with me, and in the mix slipped in the Woolen Holiday tie from the Co-Op.

I dig how he not only does pattern on pattern, but texture on texture.

And then even more texture with corduroy pants (!!!!)

Holiday Lookbook Mood Board

I've been ultra busy working on getting a beautiful presentation of our Holiday looks together. We are planning on shooting veeeeery soon, and everything is shaping up to be exciting.

As a little peek into what we've got in the works, here's a peek at the mood board. Happy Friday!

Spring's Fall Picks

This past weekend, I took a 1-day staycation and went to the beach.  This gave me the time to finally catch up on some reading, sanity, and also some Autumn/Winter 2100 fashion looks.  Does anybody else see the irony of me at the beach pining over cold weather wear?

Anyhow, here's what I drooled over for one reason or another.

Winter Wear Watch

Hi friends! Thanks for putting up with my deadbeat blogger ways lately. I've been sorting out the blog, some fun projects, and not to mention, my life. On the fun project note, I'll be sharing bits and pieces slowly... so stay tuned.

---

However, I made this post more out of necessity than anything. As I was walking home today, it was not quite snowing, not quite raining, not quite in between. At one point it seemed like really fat raindrops, and at other moments the sleet felt like tiny rocks being thrown at my face from above. Let's just say it was all bad.

I've been talking about buying a new pair of winter boots for a while, but the procrastinator in me waited until my Uggs soaked all the way through to make a decision. So when I got home, I promptly hopped online and did my winter boot research. I've come to two options:

or

Both by Sorel. Both insanely weather appropriate. Both with a do-able price tag, as they will be with me every single day as I trek downtown. Now many people tell me to get over the idea of attractive and functional winter boots, now I don't have to.

Furry Finds

First and foremost: Hi, I'm Rachel. I used to blog regularly. Now, I slack.

Now that that's out of the way... Hello! Let's chat.

Most mornings I ride the bus along Lake Shore Dr. to get downtown. As the weather is cooling down, more and more of the little old ladies who live on the lake are breaking out their shearling hats. One lady today was sporting an excellent fur hat that made her look both luxe and entirely old-school chic.

This got me thinking about the art of hats, and the fact that beautifully designed hats are such a rarity these days.

And the people who wear them well... nearly extinct.
