I haven't mentioned it here, but I ended up signing up for a class at Lillstreet this semester in the textiles department. After 2 sessions under my belt, I've been having a really great time in the studio and spending time with other like minds.
I mention this because we have access and a lot of exposure to the group that works on textiles printing. There are some truly beautiful prints that come out of this talented group, and it got me thinking of what a good print can do. In my post on the Laura Dress, I mentioned the Finnish textile group Marimekko, but I thought I'd share a little more of their textile work, because it is really quite beautiful.
