Quite Strong

Design tends to be a big fat Boys' Club, it's true.

There's a lot of chatter on the web among creative types, particularly on twitter, about innovation, change, and being the agent of such things. A lot of times, being the woman forcing her way into that conversation and making a statement that is heard can be tricky.

Featured in Jealous Magazine

Guess what! There's a new magazine in town and they just launched today. They thought what I'm doing is pretty awesome, so I think they're swell.

Check out my interview at Jealous Magazine, where I talk about bow ties, puppets, and Velcro shoes.

Very special thanks to Reese Johnson for the photog work and G. Urbina for the increasingly notorious grilled cheese.

Interview @ Art & Hustle

As I mentioned in my post on my views of the Modern Renaissance, I'm so interested in learning more about people i n this new generation of style and artistry on the rise.  One group that is really interested in learning about the journey, and spreading the word about emerging artists and talents around the country is Art & Hustle.

They have been great to me, so please do check out my interview over on their blog.  While you're at it, check out the other amazing artists they've collected along the way!

Anna Late-Night

Just in case you missed it, here is the clip of Anna Wintour on Letterman last night. What interested me most about this interview was her overall demeanor. While she probably isn't the most polite person ever, I like how she says what she means and means exactly what she says. Unapologetically.

They cut the part where she walks onto the stage complete with her dark sunglasses. However, what makes this a such a great clip is how human she comes across. You see the side that isn't portrayed in the papers. You see beyond that.

Or maybe I'm just romanticizing the clip. Why not take a look.
