Style Works: Halloween Crunch Time

image via

It seems like every day, more and more people ask what I will be dressing up as for Halloween parties this year. I must admit, while I love dressing up for real life, Halloween dress-up is not a favorite. However, if you still need a costume, don't feel like the old stand-by witch or cat costume, here are some great ones you make with things you may already have.

Flapper (baby costume)

What is your plan for a costume? Have any fun ideas to share or hear of some other fantastic ones you plan on "borrowing"? Do share!

  1. either the lil boy from 'where the wild things are' or the main character from 'the nightmare before christmas'

  2. the Nightmare Before Christmas guy is such a unique idea! I def like the idea of being a recognizable character, but only the kind that people have to think about for a while before guessing correctly. Halloween costume snobbery? Well, maybe.

  3. I am going to be a flapper. Though, it seems generic I am in Chicago the land of the Speakeasy's so I find it appropriate for the ghost tour I will be attending!

  4. @jessica that's such a great costume! a true classic. I am so interested in the prohibition era and all the fabulous style that surrounds it, so speakeasy's, jazz lounges, and the idea of secret rooms full of friends is so exciting to me.

hope you had a tremendous time on the ghost tour :)
